Our last week of the summer has come and gone yet we have memories to last a lifetime. Despite some severe weather, we had a fantastic time diving into God's word. Whether we were at camp learning about the armour of God, at Indian Falls basking in God's beautiful creation or at Wasaga Beach soaking in the sun, we were greatly blessed!
The final Discovery week of 2009 was another beautiful week in which the GOSPEL went forward and the joy of Christ was celebrated! Despite some heavy rain and a flooded fire pit at the beginning of the week, we were blessed with blue skies and warm weather throughout the rest of the week. This helped in making Wasasga Beach and the pond all that much more enjoyable! Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
What another blessed week at Campfire! We had a lot of fun playing in the water, going to chapel, singing praises to our Creator and serving God in everything we did!
The first teen week of 2009 was another great week of camp. Teens learned about standing firm as a soldier of Christ in God's army with the armour of God, as described in Ephesians 6. Overall, joy was spread, laughter shared, and relationships built; blessed be the Name of the LORD!
Discovery 2 was another beautiful week of camp. Over 60 campers came to sing, laugh, play, and learn along with the counsellors, cooks, staff and chaplains. What a blessing!
The first Discovery week of the 2009 season went extremely well. Campers and counsellors enjoyed events such as robo-day, backwards breakfast, and Wasaga beach, just to name a few. Most important of all, campers had the opportunity to dive into the Gospel of Mark and learn about what the Gospel - "good news" - really means. What a beautiful week! Thanks to all who were a part of it.
God has blessed us with another year in His service and we got to start the summer off with the little Sprouts. Throughout the week, we learned about our great Shepherd and how we are like sheep. We got to see, touch and even shear some real sheep! What a fantastic week!
The was a week of lasts! It was the last week of the summer and for many campers, it will be their last time as a camper (future counsellors perhaps?!). We had beautiful weather throughout the week and God provided us with the most beautiful sunset at Wasaga that we have ever seen there! God is good...ALL THE TIME!
The last of the "little" guys for the year! We had a great time playing games, going to Wasaga, swimming and learning how to SERVE. Check out some of the things we did!
Phenomena-na-phenomenal! That's what this week was. Our eyes were opened to the difficulties that street-involved people go through and how we can help them and spread God's love. It was sometimes difficult, sometimes easy but all the while, we were able to laugh and have a fantastic time. Bleagh!
